What you’ll find on our website
Odyfolio Emirates is the go-to site for tourist information on Dubai, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Oman.
The site is organized geographically, dedicating a large portion of its sections to the United Arab Emirates, which boasts the most developed tourist infrastructure in the region. The sprawling city of Dubai, considered the economic capital, has its own dedicated section, while the largest emirate, Abu Dhabi, is divided into three areas with distinct identities: first, the peaceful city of Abu Dhabi, the country’s political capital; then the historic city of Al Ain, rich in cultural heritage; and finally the Al Gharbia region, home to the stunning Liwa Desert. Adjacent to Dubai, the emirate of Sharjah is the most conservative but also the most culturally oriented, with museums for every taste. Further north, in the tiny emirates of Ajman and Umm al Quwain, life flows at a slower pace. Beyond that, the landscape turns rocky and mountainous around Ras Al Khaimah, while on the other side of the mountains lies the emirate of Fujairah, the only one to border the Indian Ocean.
The Sultanate of Oman, with its magnificent landscapes and well-preserved historical sites, has its own dedicated section, which we plan to expand over the coming months with more forts, natural sites, wadis, unique experiences, and on-site activities. The Musandam region, a small strategic territory controlling the keys to the Strait of Hormuz, is easily accessible from the Northern Emirates.
Through more than a hundred well-organized articles, richly illustrated with photos and maps, you’ll find answers to questions such as: How many days should you spend in Dubai? What is there to do in Abu Dhabi? What are the recommended itineraries for a combined trip with Oman? What are the best deals and top hotels in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman? Should you rent a car? What activities can you do on site? And what is the best season to visit?
